It belongs to the Slovak new breeders, which were created through the hard work of Mrs. Dorota Pospíšilová and her colleagues. In 1976, Hron was created by crossing the varieties Castets x Abouriou noir.

Color: dark garnet color with a transition to black and purple sparks shining along the edges

Aroma: delicate of sour cherries and a mixture of forest fruits

Taste: full, velvety with a hint of plums and chocolate
